June TBR.

May was a really fantastic reading month for me and I hope that May will be the same. I’m also really focusing on my current writing project and I really hope that I can get started and stop procrastinating because apparently that’s my favourite thing to do when trying to write. Anyway, here are the books that I’d like to get through this month.

I’m reading the Battle of the Labyrinth at the moment and I’m really enjoying it. I can’t wrap up this series and see how it ends.

Book to Movie Adaptations I Can’t Wait For.

I love book to movie adaptations so much. I get so excited when I see that a book I loved is going to be made into a movie and there’s definitely some good ones coming up this year. However, I just hope that I don’t hate the movie because in the past, there have been terrible movies of books that I loved. Here are some I can’t wait for;

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Expected release date – 18th November 2016.

Based on the novel by J.K Rowling.

I am so unbelievably excited for this movie and I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for it to come out. I can’t wait to dive back into the wizarding world and learn about how magic works in a different country.

The BFG.

Expected release date – 1st July 2016.

Based on the novel by Roald Dahl.

I love this book and I also really love the cartoon movie too. My best friend introduced me to it a couple of years ago and its such a beautiful story. I’m excited to see a non animated version of it!

A Monster Calls.

Expected release date – 14th October 2016.

Based on the novel by Patrick Ness.

I haven’t actually read this book yet so I better get on that before I go to see the movie. The trailer has definitely inspired me to do so. The story just looks so touching and very emotional.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Expected release date – 25th December 2016?

Based on the novel by Ransom Riggs.

I loved this book so much and at the time I thought it would make a really great movie. So I was super excited to see that a movie was due to be released.

Are there any book to movie adaptations that you’re looking forward to this year or in the future?

June Releases I’m Excited About.

Hi! These are the books that I’m really excited for in June! Theres so many great books coming out this coming month! It seems to be a brilliant year for YA books.

Titles take you to the Goodreads page and all synopses are taken from Goodreads.

1.The Transatlantic Conspiracy – G.D Falksen.

27037109

Release date – 14th June 2016.

The year is 1908. Seventeen-year-old Rosalind Wallace’s blissful stay in England with her best friend, Cecily de Vere, has come to an abrupt end, which is fine with Rosalind. She was getting tired of being high society Cecily’s American “pet.” Her industrialist father is unveiling his fabulous new Transatlantic Express, the world’s first underwater railway. As a publicity stunt he has booked her on the maiden voyage—without asking. Rosalind is furious. But lucky for her, Cecily and her handsome older brother, Charles, volunteer to accompany her home.

Fun turns to worry when Charles disappears during boarding. Then, deep under the sea, Cecily and her housemaid, Doris, are found stabbed to death in their state-room. Rosalind is now trapped on Father’s train—fighting to clear herself of her friend’s murder, to find the killer, and ultimately to uncover the sinister truth behind the railway’s construction.
Why I’m excited – This book looks AMAZING! I love historical fiction but I always seem to struggle to find GOOD YA historical fiction. Hopefully this one will really impress me!
