Synopsis.

No one has set foot on Earth in centuries — until now.
It’s been 21 days since the hundred landed on Earth. They’re the only humans to set foot on the planet in centuries…or so they thought. Facing an unknown enemy, Wells attempts to keep the group together. Clarke strikes out for Mount Weather, in search of other Colonists, while Bellamy is determined to rescue his sister, no matter the cost. And back on the ship, Glass faces an unthinkable choice between the love of her life and life itself.
In this pulse-pounding sequel to Kass Morgan’s The 100, secrets are revealed, beliefs are challenged, and relationships are tested. And the hundred will struggle to survive the only way they can — together.

My Thoughts.

Oh my life!! There were so many twists and turns in this book! They just kept coming and coming!

I really liked the survival aspect of this book. I thought it was pretty cool when they started building cabins at the beginning. The world building was amazing and I really enjoyed reading about Earth as it is in the book. It kinda made me forget for a while that this book is a work of fiction!

I felt like the characters started to really develop in this book. They all had their own problems and we’re all determined to sort them out.

I really like how Kass Morgan showed us what is happening down on earth as well as up on the ship!

Back on the ship I thought it must be really scary knowing that the oxygen reserves were running out and you are literally suffocating to death slowly. When Glass realised the air vent had been blocked on the other side I felt really disheartened for her! Her and Luke had finally got back together and it looked like for a while they weren’t going to make it.

I was so intrigued by the Earthborns and what they wanted and how they even survived the radiation. There were a lot of surprises in this book. Some were obvious, some were not but all the same it made the book more intriguing and fast paced.

Wells still annoyed me. He still acted like an arsehole and acted like he was better than everyone else.

I was literally holding my breath the entire time Glass and her mother were fighting their way to the dropships. It was SO tense and then when the guard demanded Glass be the one to get off and let him take her place. I could feel everyone’s terror as they fought for a space on the ships, knowing if they didn’t get a place they’d die.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it was really good and I loved most parts of the story. It had a lot of surprises but some parts were predictable and I found myself yelling out that I knew that was going to happened.
